COWBOY BLESSING Song by Michael Fleming, Poem by Les Buffham İNew West Music / ASCAP May God give you gentle horses and an even trail to ride, Pure water, greener pastures and a good friend by your side. May you always have protection from the Northern winds that blow And may you find good fortune wherever you may go. (Poem) Now we're just musicians and singers doing what we love best And that is entertaining folks like you throughout the West. We sing about old cowboys and horses we have known Places we have been and things that we've been shown. Well, we hope to make you laugh or bring a teardrop to your eye And maybe if the song is sad, we can make you cry. We appreciate your kind applause and you know we won't refuse it But the most important thing to us is you got to hear the music. May God give you gentle horses and an even trail to ride, Pure water, greener pastures and a good friend by your side. May you always have protection from the Northern winds that blow And may you find good fortune wherever you may go.
